Our 65th Class Reunion has come and gone. On Friday evening, September 30, 2022, those who were in town met at Bayside Seafood Restaurant for dinner. There were ten classmates, along with spouses and friends, for a total of seventeen.
The reunion was held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Liz Sterling’s Greenhouse Pantry, where she catered a delicious meal. We had eighteen classmates attend, along with spouses, friends, and family members. A display board showing all those from our class who had passed away was featured. Sadly, we had lost fifteen since our last reunion. Those included: Rudy Ramirez , Pete Harris, Dealma Steen, Jimmy Dodson, Leon Helms, Clyde Dabbs, Pearl Granger Koronczok, Tony Machacek, Donald Wehmeyer, Wilbert Treybig, Elizabeth Lambden, Kathy Allen, Oscar “Sonny” Gottschalt, Mary Ester Sylva, and Janice Finster.
Bobby Joe was kind enough to invite everyone to his home after the meal. Local classmates had prepared wonderful refreshments to be served there. It was a great time of fun and fellowship while sharing some stories from the past.
Being able to visit with our friends from school once again was a real treat after having to cancel reunions the past two years because of Covid. We missed those of you who were unable to attend, and pray that you are all well. Please stay in touch!
