Charles Barclay

Arthur Charles Barclay was born in San Antonio. He attended Calhoun High School in Pt. Lavaca and graduated in 1957. He was an avid skier in his early days.
After joining the United States Army in 1960, Charles attended Texas A&M University and graduated class of ’61. He served two tours in Vietnam and proudly served 20 years of military service. In 1980, he retired from the military and was rated 80% disabled by the VA. He continued to serve his country as a civil servant and retired from Civil Service in 2000.
Charles was a HUGE fan of Aggie football. He also loved spending time with his family. He had five children, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
His favorite high school memories were graduation night at a beach house somewhere, and working at the Shellfish because they fed him.
