Our 69th class reunion was held October 3, 2026, at the Bauer Activity Building in Port Lavaca. This year, we had members of the Classes of 1955 and 1956 to join us. It was a wonderful day of renewing old friendships, sharing memories, catching up on one another’s lives, and making new friends.

As the years go by, our numbers grow smaller, and we missed those who couldn’t attend. The following classmates let us know they would be unable to join us this year:

• Morris Cranmer – His son from Wisconsin had planned a visit at the same time.
• Al Ragusin – Al is working on a book for HBO about his life as a dancing horse performer and trainer. Watch a performance here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVX1FPFHMQM
• Victor Holy – His wife, Jerry, continues to suffer from severe, unrelenting headaches that have not responded to treatment. They are hopeful that a new treatment may bring her relief. We keep them both in our thoughts and prayers.
• Roy Blasingim – Roy has had three heart stents placed this year and is scheduled for a total knee replacement in November. We pray that he has a smooth recovery!
• Carol Jean (Moore) Richardson – Her transportation had to cancel.
• Walter Rabke – His daughter called to let us know he has not been doing well and could not attend. We send our best wishes to Walter and his family.
• Barbara (Lucas) Hedrick – She had planned to attend but had to cancel because of an unexpected situation just before the reunion.
• Barbara (Grow) Cox – Her son was having surgery.

Our reunions take a lot of planning and behind-the-scenes work. A heartfelt thank you goes to Mary Lou (Burton) Stellman, Mary Jane (Nunley) Lynch, Bobby Joe Paul, and Jerry Weaver for their continued efforts in organizing our reunions year after year.

We also thank Roman Koronczok for securing the venue and inviting members of the Classes of ‘55 and ‘56 to join us.  Thanks to Roman’s son, Brad Koronczok, for furnishing the microphone and speaker.

A special thank-you goes to Diana and Tommy, Buck and Alma Hawes’s daughter and son, for taking care of the food service. They went above and beyond to keep the serving containers filled and the food table neat and inviting. Their help was greatly appreciated!

The venue was perfect, the decorations were beautiful, and the food and drinks were delicious.  Those home made desserts were amazing!  We appreciate everyone who helped make the day so enjoyable!
