Jerry and Peggy Wallace
Robert Jerald Wallace passed away on June 1, 2018. He was born October 9, 1938 in McAllen, Texas to Lee J. Wallace and Verna T. Beasley Wallace. Following graduation from high school in Port Lavaca he attended Texas A. & I. University, after which he served as a lieutenant in the Army Signal Corps. He was employed in the Industrial Department of Houston Light & Power, now CenterPoint Energy, for 42 years until his retirement in 2007. While in college he married the late Betsy C. Reeves. In later life he married Peggy W. Ferguson, and they enjoyed over 30 years together.
He is survived by his wife Peggy; daughters, Kelly R. Wallace and Troi L. Ferguson; son, Russ Scott Wallace; son-in-law, Harold Eddy; daughters-in-law, Jennifer Sorrells and Judy Wallace; and grandchildren Clinton Eddy, Brett and Brooke Wallace, and Ellie and Arry Ferguson-Sorrells.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston Texas 77210-4486. The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, July 7 at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Oaks Baptist Church, 1845 Forest Oaks Drive, Houston, Texas, 77017.
