Larry and Estherleen (Rouse) Marek

Estherleen passed away May 10, 2016. She married Larry Marek, CHS class of ’56. Larry, passed away August 18, 2017. Estherleen and Larry had two daughters.
Estherleen attended Durham Business College in Victoria, graduating with honors. She worked for Crown Central Petroleum and Schlumberger in Houston, Texas, H.B. Zachary, Brown & Root, and Union Carbide with 28 years of service in purchasing and in the engineering department as head secretary.
After retiring, Estherleen delivered Meals on Wheels, enjoyed taking care of people, and visiting the elderly at Port Lavaca Nursing and Rehab. She loved traveling with Larry and friends.
Larry served in the US Army as a topographer. He worked as a draftsman, instrument fitter and pipefitter for Brown and Root for thirty plus years.
