Allene and Bubba Johnson (with John and Sue Burns)
Information furnished by John Burns:
“Bubba” was married to Allene Dawdy. He died in Durban, South Africa in September 1965. We were working for Collins Construction Company in Durban when he died. My family and I returned to Port Lavaca in October 1965 and the American Embassy/Consulate in Durban sent his personal belongings back with me. We didn’t have courier service back in those days and there was money, diamond rings, etc. involved. Bubba’s sister, Patsy, is married to my brother.
