Albert Erekson

Information received from Albert before the 67th reunion:

Hello to my old classmates. Although I moved from Port Lavaca many years ago, I have never forgotten you.

Elaine (Laney) and I married in 1966 and in 1967 moved to Baton Rouge, LA, where we lived for 43 years and raised our children, Debra and Don. I worked in the chemical industry through four employers at one installation for 37 years.

After our daughter graduated with her anesthesia degree in 2010, we fled the heat and humidity and followed her and our grandchildren to Knoxville, TN.

Time has caught up with me and all the years in the plant and my back and legs don’t work very well, but I’m still getting around.

From the obituary:

Albert “Bubba” Erekson, Jr., age 85, born in Port Lavaca, TX, from Baton Rouge, LA, and a resident of Knoxville, TN, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center surrounded by his family.  Albert was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army.  He was an avid bowler for over fifty years and was a diehard LSU fan.  He loved his family and grandbabies.  His life was his family.
