Bobby Joe and Sandy Paul

Port Lavaca native & proud of it.  Graduated with the greatest Sandcrab class of all time.  Went to college 4 years and got 3 1/2 years of credits.  Had more fun than most though.  Spent two years in the US Army mostly at Fort Benning, Ga.  Married Sandra Sanders, another Sandcrab while in the army.  We will celebrate 56 years of a blessed marriage this July.

After the Army Sandy and I landed jobs in Houston.  I went to work for General Electric, was with them for 10 years in Houston and New Orleans.  I got recruited by a competitor and spent the last 33 years of a 43-year career with Powell Industries in the Houston area.  I retired in 2007 and moved back to Port Lavaca in 2010, building a home on the same piece of property I was born on.

Sandy and I have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl, 7 grandchildren, 4 girls and 3 boys.  Both sons are in executive positions with major electrical manufacturers.  My daughter taught a few years, married well, and has written, scored, and produced many religious-themed children’s musicals.  Look up “open heart musicals” for a treat.  If it sounds like we are proud you are right.

My wife does volunteer work for both of us, so I can spend as much time as possible as a golf hacker.  However, I did shoot my age or better 3 times in 2017.
